Watch: High school girl drains 55-foot shot at buzzer
Paige Engbers only made two shots in a high school semifinal playoff game in Iowa Wednesday night - but one of those shots won't be soon forgotten.
Engbers banked in a shot from 55 feet away as the buzzer sounded to end the third quarter. The amazing shot sent the crowd into a frenzy and helped propel Pella Christian to a thrilling victory over IKM-Manning.
The three-quarter court shot gave the Eagles a 5-point lead going into the 4th quarter and the team would go on to win 60-49.
"It was huge and it made things a little bit more comfortable," Pella Christian coach Kevin Van Maanen told the Des Moines Register.
They will play for the 2A Championship tonight.
