Was Stevie Johnson's endzone celebration over the line?

(CBS) - Long story short, former-Giant now New York Jet Plaxico Burress went to jail for shooting himself in the leg. It was a regrettable and, frankly, embarrassing chapter of Burress' career that we're sure he would like to put behind him. But Buffalo Bills receiver Stevie Johnson wouldn't let him forget it. After catching a 5-yard touchdown pass, Johnson mocked Burress in an endzone celebration that many are calling over the line.

As the video shows, Johnson did a little dance that ended with pretending to shoot himself in the leg. He then imitated the Jets' arms-out flying celebration before crashing to the ground, drawing a penalty.

Of course, living well is the best revenge, and the Jets got the last laugh with a game-winning forth quarter drive to best the bills 28-24. Burress himself had a spectacular one-handed sideline grab on that drive to help New York to victory.

Johnson was contrite after the game, saying, "It hurt our team. It was very stupid of me going through that, and I feel like I cost our team by doing that."

What do you think? Was Johnson out of line? Or are firearm faux-pas fair game when it comes to touchdown dances?
