Video: Man struck by his own car in road rage fight

HEMET, Calif. -- Video released by police shows the moments a man was struck by his own car after an argument with another driver, reports CBS Los Angeles.

The video, shared online by the Hemet, Calif., Police Department, shows a man using a skateboard to bash the window of a pickup truck that belonged to one of two suspects sought in the case.

Moments later, the other suspect, apparently driving the car belonging to the man who wielded the skateboard, can be seen speeding towards the man, and then striking him.

Police said when they arrived on the scene, the victim was lying in the street unable to move. He was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

Angelica Parra told CBS Los Angeles that she began shooting the video on her smartphone when she heard the men arguing. After the victim was struck, she called police and went out to help him as he lay in the street unable to move.

"It was really scary. I thought he died but he didn't," Parra said. "He was saying, 'Help me, help me. He couldn't even move.'"

Police have not said what started the road rage incident. Investigators said the video was released with the hope that someone will turn in the suspects.
