Caught on tape: Armed suspects attempt to invade N.M. home
ALAMOGORDO -- A home surveillance video released by a New Mexico police department shows armed suspects attempting to invade a home last week.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. Feb. 2 in Alamogordo. The video shows a woman walking up to the home and ringing the doorbell. A person inside opens the door, but immediately closes it when three armed men approach the home.
The video shows the men and the women trying to force their way into the home. When they’re unable to, they run off.
Alamogordo Police circulated the video on social media in the hopes of identifying the suspects.
Police say through investigative leads and tips from the public, they issued arrest warrants for 27-year-old Crystal Silva, 35-year-old Jason Enjady, 39-year-old Dominic Roberts, 50-year-old Ross Sanders, and 28-year-old Dustin Williams. Roberts, Williams and Sanders were arrested Monday and all were charged on felony counts of conspiracy to commit attempted aggravated burglary.
Roberts and Sanders were also charged with attempted aggravated burglary and possession of a firearm by a felon.
More charges are expected and police say they’re still searching for two suspects.
