Veteran attorney Hal Uhrig joins George Zimmerman's defense team, reports say
(CBS) SANFORD, Fla. - Veteran Orlando-area criminal defense attorney Hal Uhrig announced today that he is joining George Zimmerman's legal advisory team.
Uhrig told FOX affiliate WOFL that he is confident Zimmerman acted in self-defense when he shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford on Feb. 26.
Uhrig will work as a co-attorney with Orlando criminal defense attorney Craig Sonner who has been advising Zimmerman.
Zimmerman passed a voice stress test, something similar to a lie detector test, that was administered by Sanford police, Uhrig told the station.
According to The Orlando Sentinel, Uhrig is the senior partner at The Defense Group, a six-lawyer firm in Maitland.
