The vigil will take place at 8 p.m. in the school's amphitheater and will last for about an hour.
Student Council President Colin Hood believes it is important for everyone to come together for an opportunity to "reach out to one another in comfort, unity, and support."
Hood, School President John Casteen, and fourth-year class President Sarah Elaine Hart will make remarks at the event; there will also be musical tributes to the murdered student.
The memorial comes as police continue to investigate the death of 22-year-old Yeardley Love, who was found dead Monday morning in her apartment. Police have taken George Huguely into custody and have charged him with first-degree murder. Huguely's attorney has spoken on behalf of his client and says that the incident was not intentional.
