A newly released “proof of life” video shows an American woman who was kidnapped in Afghanistan in 2012 with her Canadian husband.

The video, obtained by CBS News, shows American Caitlan Coleman and her Canadian husband Joshua Boyle, who are being held by militants somewhere near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border area.

In the new video, Coleman, who was pregnant when she went missing, and Boyle make a plea for the U.S. and Canadian governments to pressure the Afghan government to change their policies to secure their freedom.

Coleman and Boyle appear to make coerced statements, saying that they fear for their lives.

It is unclear when and where the video was shot.

In 2014, the Associated Press reported that Coleman’s family had received two videos showing the couple urging the U.S. government to help free them and their child.
