Two New Housewives Join "Real Housewives of Atlanta"
NEW YORK (CBS) Two new ladies will be getting "real" down in Atlanta.
Bravo announced the cast for the third season of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" on Friday, with two new women added to the cast, and one series regular not returning.
Model Cynthia Bailey and entertainment lawyer Phaedra Parks will join NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak, Kandi Burruss and Sheree Whitfield for the show's third season. Football wife Lisa Wu Hartwell is exiting the show.
Bailey, who has walked the runways in Paris and Milan, is joining the show at a pivotal time in her relationship with her boyfriend of three years, Peter Thomas - she risks losing him after he issued her an ultimatum. She and Leakes, who are already close friends, will rely on each other as they struggle through relationship issues.
Parks, who runs an Atlanta-based boutique law firm, isn't accepted by the group immediately. Her marriage to her much-younger husband, Apollo, sparks gossip because he served time in prison for a "white collar crime." The self-proclaimed "Southern Belle" is also expecting her first child with Apollo.
