4. Barack Obama's victory tweet: More than 780,000 retweets.
President Barack Obama's most popular tweet was short and simple: "Four more years."

The pop star won big with her self-promotional tweet -- we imagine the dreamy selfie has something to do with it.

Gaga got lots of love for her tweet praising One Direction after their VMAs win in 2013.

The talk show host trounced the competition with this selfie tweet, and it's no surprise considering the sheer volume of A-list actors in the photo.

Timberlake threw just a little bit of shade at Kanye West after the rapper dissed him during his acceptance speech for the Video Vanguard award at the VMAs.
