Trump's top choice to be ambassador to Saudi Arabia is lobbyist Dave Urban
Lobbyist David Urban, who helped engineer President Trump's win in Pennsylvania, is the top choice to be U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, a source familiar with the process confirmed to CBS News' Margaret Brennan.
Urban is the president of American Continental Group, a Washington, D.C. lobbying firm. He's a longtime Washington insider who served as chief of staff to Sen. Arlen Specter. Urban is also a West Point graduate who served in Operation Desert Storm in Iraq.
He was reported to be considered for other positions earlier in the Trump administration, including chief of staff.
It does not yet appear that his paperwork has been submitted to Congress.
