Trump vs. "The View": Obama's birth certificate (Video)

(CBS) Donald Trump got into it on "The View" over the now age-old - and exasperatingly stupid - question, "Why doesn't he show his birth certificate?" "He" being President Obama, of course.

Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters and Joy Behar weren't having it.

"I really believe there's a birth certificate," said Trump. "Why doesn't he show his birth certificate?" (He has - click here to see it.) "And you know what? I wish he would. Because I think it's a terrible pail [sic] that's hanging over him. He should show his birth certificate."

Trump continued on. "The other thing, if you go back to my first grade, my kindergarten, people remember me. Nobody from those early years remembers him."

Behar broke in. "We have pictures of him. What are you talking about?"

"There are people in Hawaii, there are people that he's grown up...no!" said Goldberg before getting drowned out by the other voices in the conversation.

After some more birther-esque ranting, Trump said, "There's something on that birth certificate he doesn't like."

"That's a terrible thing to say," said Walters.

"That's the biggest pile of dog mess I've heard in ages," said Goldberg. "It's not because he's black, is it?

"No, it has nothing to do with that," said Trump.

"Because I've never heard any white president asked to show the birth certificate," said Goldberg.
