Trenesha Biggers Case Against Pro Wrestler Kurt Angle Dimissed by Judge
MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. (CBS/AP) Professioal wrestler Trenesha Biggers probably didn't picture it ending like this.
A judge has cleared her ex boyfriend, professional wrestler and Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, of charges he violated a protection order against Biggers and illegally possessed human growth hormone.
Police in suburban Pittsburgh stopped Angle last month after he allegedly violated the protection order Biggers had gotten after they fought. Police said they found vials of human growth hormone in Angle's car.
The 40-year-old star of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling said he had a prescription for the HGH to treat neck injuries.
The judge on Tuesday also dismissed charges that Angle was driving with a suspended license.
Biggers, who goes by the stage name Rhaka Khan, did not comment outside court. Angle said he will be more careful about who he associates with in the future.
Angle is a two-time NCAA Division I wrestling champion at Clarion University in western Pennsylvania. He won the 220-pound championship at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, defeating Iran's Abbas Jadidi for the gold medal, and has been a professional wrestler since 1998.
In September, Angle was found not guilty of drunken driving in Moon Township outside Pittsburgh. A motorist told police Angle had cut her off while leaving a bar parking lot.
