One person's body was recovered around 2:30 p.m. Thursday as crews launched a search for the other two people.

On Sunday, authorities canceled the search for the missing pilot and passenger after searching more than 60 hours across hundreds of square miles.

In announcing the search suspension Sunday, authorities identified the missing pilot as local resident Guy Croydon, 69, and the missing passenger as James Quintua, 60. The passenger who was recovered after the crash was Amy Nichole Ruark Quintua, 53.

The Quintuas were from Union, Kentucky, Kauai officials said. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.

The Coast Guard was involved in the search along with several local agencies. The National Transportation Safety Board and FAA are investigating the cause of the crash.
