Tornado captured in Kan. couple's wedding photos
(CBS News) Newlyweds in Kansas have an unforgettable backdrop for their wedding shots: a tornado.
The same tornado that damaged a Harper County, Kansas farmstead nearly ended up crashing a nearby wedding.
Caleb and Candra Pence tied the knot Saturday just southeast of Harper. Shortly after the couple said their 'I do's' the bride and groom quickly posed for pictures, knowing rain would be moving in soon.
Little did they know that, in addition to their special moment, the wedding photographer Cate Eighmey captured the weather spectacle churning up in the wheat field behind them.
The groom's mother Carla says the photos capture not only the family's special day, but the essence of Kansas.
The pictures quickly went viral. The happy couple is now on their honeymoon, away from the attention their wedding photos have created.
