"Tools of the Trade": Bandit brandishes weed whacker to rob N.M. store
(CBS/AP) LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Police are searching for a man they say was wielding a weed whacker when he robbed a convenience store in southern Mexico.
Investigators say the man posing as a landscaper walked into a Check `N Go store in Las Cruces Saturday night and demanded money.
Police say the unidentified man, wearing a blue jump suit, gloves, a mask and a khaki fisherman's bucket hat, then fled from the scene. According to police, the suspect was carrying a string trimmer, or weed whacker, which he threatened to use as a weapon.
No arrests have been made, but police will no doubt use all the tools available to them.
