Tony Romo and Candice Crawford expecting first child

(CBS) Jessica Simpson has yet to address rumors that she may or may not be pregnant, but her ex Tony Romo has shared some baby news of his own.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback says that he and his wife, Candice Crawford, are expecting their first child.

Romo broke the news during a drug prevention event at Cedar Hill High School, near Dallas, when a student asked him if he had any kids.

"No, I don't have any kids," he replied, according to CBS station KTVT. "I actually got one on the way. My wife's pregnant."

The station says that Crawford is reportedly due in early March.

Romo, 31, and Crawford, 24, married in May.

The couple's impending arrival will also have a famous uncle - Crawford's brother is "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford.
