Tom Hanks bids farewell to pet dog
(CBS) Tom Hanks took to his Twitter account to say farewell to his dog, Monty.
The actor announced that the pup had passed away on Friday, calling it a "sad day."
"Monty. Deep brown eyes, noble demeanor, finest dog ever. A sad day. Goodbye Big Boy. Hanx ," he wrote.
The "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" star also shared a picture of the dog on his WhoSay page.
Fans responded with condolences for the Oscar winner.
"So sorry you lost your friend," one wrote.
Another replied, "One of the hardest things in life is losing a beloved pet. I am sorry for the loss of Monty."
