NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Les Grossman, Tom Cruise's foul-mouthed, bald alter ego, is set to return to the silver screen.

Cruise, who played the lunatic producer in the 2008 film "Tropic Thunder," will team up with Paramount Pictures and MTV Films to develop a movie based on the fictional character.

Cruise recently reprised the role at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards and wowed the crowd with a surprise hip-hop dance-off with Jennifer Lopez.

Cruises, 47, along with his "Tropic Thunder" co-star Ben Stiller, are set to produce the film. Paramount said Wednesday that Cruise is in talks to play the role of Grossman again.

"Les Grossman's life story is an aspiring tale of the classic human struggle to achieve greatness against all odds.  He has assured me he plans to quote, 'F**king kill the sh*t out of this movie and make Citizen f**king Kane look like a piece-of-crap home movie by the time we are done.' I am honored to be working with him," said Stiller in the statement.

Cruise will next be seen with Cameron Diaz in "Knight and Day," due in theaters later this month.
