Tip suggests Tenn. girl, missing since 2003, may be in Neb.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Authorities have received an anonymous tip that a 13-year-old girl who went missing from Nashville, Tennessee over a decade ago may be more than 750 miles away, in Fremont, Nebraska.
Fremont Police say the tip was made to the Nashville Metro Police Department.
Tabitha Tuders was last seen April 29, 2003 by her father at their Nashville home before he left for work. Witnesses later reported to police they saw the teen walking towards her school bus stop. She never boarded the bus or attended school that day.
As investigators look into the new tip, Tabitha's family continues to hold out hope.
"Unfortunately, it's another Mother's Day where my wife has to be here without her other daughter," Tabitha's father Bo told CBS affiliate WTVF this past weekend.
"It won't get any easier till we find out what happened to her, or if she's done passed or whatever, then it might not get easier, but at least we'll know where she's at," he added.
Tabitha, who would now be 25, is described as having had sandy blonde hair at the time of her disappearance, and blue eyes.
