Time-lapse video of One World Trade Center 2004-2013

(CBS News) To commemorate the 12th anniversary of 9/11, webcam company Earthcam has released this amazing time-lapse video, which shows the construction of One World Trade Center. The building, which stands at 1,776 feet tall, took nine years to raise, but this clip condenses the process into just under two minutes. Watch the inspiring video above.

On its official YouTube page, Earthcam writes:

Witness the rise of One World Trade Center, including the installation of the spire, bringing it to a staggering height of 1,776 feet. Hundreds of thousands of high definition images were captured over the past 9 years and hand-edited for this special time-lapse movie.

Staggering and special to say the least.
