Tim Gunn Thinks Taylor Momsen is "Sad and Pathetic"
NEW YORK (CBS) Tim Gunn is not too impressed with Taylor Momsen. Not because of her heavy use of dark eye makeup, but for her alleged diva antics.
The perpetually calm "Project Runway" mentor took a stab at the 17-year-old actress-singer after filming a guest spot on the hit CW series.
Gunn, who will play himself on the show, branded Momsen as a "diva" and said her behavior on set was "pathetic."
"What a diva!" he told E! News. "She was pathetic, she couldn't remember her lines, and she didn't even have that many. I thought to myself 'Why are we all being held hostage by this brat?"
Gunn complained of Monson's excessive need to be on her cell phone and offered a few words of advice for the actress.
"I'd say, 'You know, young lady, there are hundreds of thousands of girls who are just as attractive and even smarter than you. Why are you acting like this show is a huge burden on you?' She was on her phone during every break, I wanted to tell her, 'If you weren't on your BlackBerry, you can retain this stuff.'"
This isn't the first time Gunn has called out someone for unfavored behavior.
In his new book, "Gunn's Golden Rules," Gunn shares a few juicy stories about celebrities who violate his standards of decorum, including one about Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour. He said he saw her get carried down five sets of stairs by her bodyguards after refusing to ride an elevator at a Peter Som fashion show in 2006.
