Egypt's military finds wreckage and passenger belongings from the missing EgyptAir jet
Eye Opener: Breakthrough in search for EgyptAir Flight 804 02:07

EgyptAir mystery

A major break this morning in the search for EgyptAir flight 804, as Egypt's military says the first pieces of the puzzle have been found floating in the Mediterranean, about 180 miles from the Egyptian coast. Even with the discovery, there are far more questions still to be answered.

Untapped data

The failure to find EgyptAir flight 804's voice and data recorders raises fresh questions about why flight information from commercial passenger jets is not sent back down to Earth in real time. An icon lost

CBS newsman Morley Safer, who changed war reporting forever with his accounts from Vietnam and went on to become the iconic "60 Minutes" correspondent whose stylish stories on America's most-watched news program made him one of television's most enduring stars, has died in Manhattan at the age of 84.

"Subway to the Sea"

Los Angeles streetcars were taken out of service in 1963, as car ownership boomed, but now many people in L.A. -- and across the country -- are giving up their cars for trains. We climb aboard as riders get ready to use a new light-rail line between the downtown area and the beach in Santa Monica.

Cancer risk

Certain lifestyle habits -- like smoking and sun exposure -- are known to raise the risk of cancer. But how much can you lower your cancer risk with healthy lifestyle choices? It's a complicated and controversial question. A new study crunches the numbers and shows how much these changes can really help.
