Eye Opener: GOP chair to Trump: “Give us all a break” 02:06

The Obama factor

How much influence does an incumbent outgoing president's popularity have on the outcome of the next election? In other words, does a popular president make it more likely that his party's candidate will keep them in the White House for a third term?

"Stacked against me"

Relations between Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee (RNC) appear to have reached a new low. The billionaire GOP front-runner has savaged the RNC in a new interview, arguing that RNC chairman Reince Priebus "should be ashamed of himself...because he knows what's going on."

Syrian "elections"

It's hard to square the idea of democratic elections in a country where the government lacks control over huge swathes of territory and a war prevents millions of voters from participating. TSA lines

Can airports across the country keep up with increasing passenger numbers? Airports nationwide have seen security checkpoint lines double in size. Aggravated passengers are worrying about what peak summer travel season will look like, and some cities are considering drafting in outside help.

Survivor's story

On a road trip to visit her grandchildren, 72-year-old Ann Rodgers got lost in the arid Arizona wilderness. She spent nine days stranded in the harsh environment and now she's telling the story of what, and who, helped her get through the harrowing ordeal.

School without walls

At the Chattahoochee Hills Charter School outside Atlanta, learning is a breath of fresh air; students typically spend a third of their school day outdoors. We find out how both the curriculum and the campus are rooted in nature.
