"The Wolverine" unleashes full-length trailer
A full-length trailer for "The Wolverine" was unveiled Wednesday, hot on the heels of the short teasers that debuted a day earlier.
In this incarnation of the Marvel superhero's screen story, it appears that Logan (aka Wolverine, aka Hugh Jackman) will face his own mortality.
Logan/Wolverine travels to Japan, where he meets an old man who thanks him for saving his life and offers him something in return. "You have struggled long enough," he tells Logan. "I can end your eternity. Make you mortal."
Lots of fight scenes and ominous music follow, along with the mutant declaring that he's no longer healing.
Here's the official description of the film: "Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality."
"The Wolverine" arrives in theaters on July 26, 2013.
