The Leno interview-- from 20 years ago!

Twenty years ago, when Jay Leno landed the job at The Tonight Show, he came on 60 Minutes and told Steve Kroft he'd never forget his first appearance on the Tonight stage: "It was March 7, 1977. I mean, your first Tonight Show is kind of like your first girl, you know? I mean, it's real fast. It's over real quick. You weren't very good, but you never forget it. But you do know you want to do it again, you know?"

Leno went on to host the show for two decades. His retirement was announced last week.
