The Feed's Friday Music Round-Up: "Can't decide on a theme" edition

(CBS News) The headline? So, uh... yeah. I couldn't decide on a theme name for this week's Friday Music Round-Up. I almost wanted to call it the "Post-Webby Award Honor edition" (cough, because The Feed is now an Official Honoree at The Webby Awards in the category of Humor, cough), but that would be totally separate from the actual content and just boasting. (Though does it count as boasting if it's 100 percent true?) So that's the story, and I'm sticking to it. But guess what? Theme name or not, there's still going to be some amazing music in store for you today! We kick things off this week with a band Spotify keeps telling me I'll love, and I don't disagree at all. Check out a live rendition of the song "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons above.

Up next, we're proud to promote a talented young man getting the recognition he deserves. In 2011, we came across a video by him and were colored impressed. In 2012, he submitted a piece to us that impressed us even more, and we happily highlighted. Now, in 2013, we can only hope he remembers us so we can one day ride on his creative coattails. Click play on this amazing, Lego stop-motion music video for Ed Sheeran's song "Lego House" (starring actor Rupert Grint) that was "[created], executed, filmed & Lego-ed" by Dylan Woodley below.

Our request item this week is a bit of an offbeat musical performance follow-up. (And I suppose I could have gone with "Follow-up edition" now that I think about it after our previous music item.) What do you get when you combine a rather large individual with some smaller musicians who don't have access to instruments? A very unusual drumming performance, that's what. Go ahead and check out the sequel to "Tummy Talk" submitted to The Feed from and by Sqwak below.

For our focus on the mix of artistic and creative in music videos this week (which is also reflective of Dylan Woodley's work above), we've chosen this dark and striking piece for James Blake's song "Overgrown" directed by Nabil. The music doesn't actually kick in until about 52 seconds, but the build-up is worth watching. With a beautiful moodiness that reflects Vincent van Gogh's "Starry Night", I think you're really going to enjoy this selection below.

Finally, for our music-related finale, we've come across a very young and to-the-point music critic. For me to say almost anything about this 19-second YouTube clip from Jerry Bruce would ruin it. So I'll simply state, from personal experience, how much it warms my heart to see there are brothers like myself out there in this world supporting their sisters in their endeavors...

And I'm sure you're well aware of the (hopefully ongoing forever and ever!) additional element to the Friday Music Round-UpSo just click here already to check out the excellent music supplement done by my colleague, Casey Glynn. And with that, I hope you have a wonderful weekend and make sure to keep coming back to The Feed for all your viral (and music) video needs!
