The 'Dream' Of BeBe Winans
Soulful tenor BeBe Winans has been quite busy lately.
Not only has he launched a syndicated radio show and made his film debut in "The Manchurian Candidate," but he has also released his fourth solo album.
Winans visits The Saturday Early Show to perform a few songs from his CD in the Second Cup Café.
"This is a new beginning for me, " he says. "The feel is different. It has to do with the excitement I have about this album being mine: my label, my creation. That makes this different than any album I've ever done. I'm coming from a good place now. It's something that takes years to get to... through age, understanding, and experience. I'm comfortable with who I am and where I want to go. My vision for this album was to select songs that will find and touch people where they are."
Winans has won four Grammy Awards, ten Dove Awards, six Stellar Awards, two NAACP Awards and a Soul Train Award.
Along with sister CeCe he has had hit such as "Heaven", "I'm Lost Without You", and the No. 1 hits "Addictive Love" and "I'll Take You There."
Winans will star this year in the off-Broadway touring musical production of "King Solomon Lives, A Nubian Love Story," as King Solomon.
