"The Dark Knight Rises" is Name of Next Batman Movie

NEW YORK (CBS) "Batman" director Christopher Nolan has revealed that his third Batman film, due out in 2012, will be titled "The Dark Knight Rises."

The director, who revealed the title to the L.A. Times, is keeping mum on most of the details except to say that the movie's villain won't be The Riddler.

"We'll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we'll be introducing some new ones," Nolan told the newspaper.

He also said the movie will not be shot in 3D but with high definition and IMAX cameras.

The 40-year-old Oscar-nominated director, who scored a box-office hit this summer with "Inception," previously directed "Batman Begins" in 2005 and "The Dark Knight " in 2009. The latter is the seventh highest-grossing film of all time.
