"The Book of Mormon" to perform at Tony Awards
(CBS News) "The Book of Mormon" is coming back to the Tonys.
The 2011 winner for best musical will perform live during the 2012 Tony Awards, it was announced Wednesday.

According to the New York Post, "The Book of Mormon" will open the Tonys with its opening number, "Hello!," as cast members, dressed as Mormons, knock on the dressing-room doors of several stars before ending up with host Neil Patrick Harris.
After that, the telecast will reportedly segue into a medley of classic musicals from the past.
Producers revealed Monday that all four productions nominated for best musical - "Newsies," ''Nice Work If You Can Get It," ''Once" and the now-closed "Leap of Faith" - will perform, as well as the revivals "Follies," ''Evita," ''The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess" and "Jesus Christ Superstar."
There will also be performances from several plays, including "End of the Rainbow," ''Peter and the Starcatcher" and "One Man, Two Guvnors."
Stars set to appear during the ceremony include Ellen Barkin, Candice Bergen, Matthew Broderick, Jessica Chastain, Sheryl Crow, Nick Jonas, Angela Lansbury, Ricky Martin, James Marsden, Jim Parsons, Mandy Patinkin, Tyler Perry, Bernadette Peters, Christopher Plummer, Paul Rudd, Amanda Seyfried, Ben Vereen, Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
The 66th annual Tony Awards will air live on CBS from New York's Beacon Theatre on Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT.
