Teen Falls Into Lion Pit On Movie Set
A teenage boy visiting a Boston zoo has fallen into a lion pit that's part of a set for the upcoming Kevin James movie "The Zookeeper."
Franklin Park Zoo spokeswoman Brooke Wardrop says no animals were inside when the boy fell Wednesday and the movie crew wasn't around.
Fire department spokesman Steve MacDonald says the 16-year-old fell about 25 feet and a net helped break his fall. The boy's injuries aren't considered life-threatening.
A movie set medic was with the boy when firefighters arrived, pulled him from the pit and took him to a hospital.
Zoo officials are investigating how the boy got into the area, a former gorilla exhibit known as the Lion's Den.
In the movie, the former star of the CBS sitcom "The King of Queens" plays a zookeeper unlucky at love.
