Teen daughter questioned after couple found slain in NYC apartment
NEW YORK -- Police are questioning the teen daughter of a woman who was found dead along with her boyfriend inside a New York City apartment, reports CBS New York.
Police say the bodies were discovered around 7 p.m. Sunday in a fifth floor apartment in the Sheepshead Bay Houses in Brooklyn. The 39-year-old woman had multiple gunshot wounds, police say. The man, 40, had both gunshot and stab wounds.
Police say the girl confessed committing the crime to a cousin, and told investigators that she was being sexually assaulted by her mother's boyfriend and her mother didn't listen to her, according to CBS New York.
Authorities believe the girl shot her mother while a second person killed the boyfriend. Police found the man dead in the kitchen and the woman's body was in the back of the apartment.
Charges are expected to be brought against the teen, reports the station.
