Taylor Swift: "I'm the happiest maid of honor ever"
Taylor Swift returned to her hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania, to be the "happiest maid of honor ever" over the weekend.
Swift served as the maid of honor for the wedding of her best childhood friend, Britany Maack, and posted a photo from the wedding on Instagram, writing, "I met her when I was 10 days old, and him in kindergarten. Now they're married and I'm the happiest maid of honor ever. Congratulations @britmaack and Ben!"
Swift posted two more photos of herself with Maack, including one throwback of the two when they were toddlers with a caption that joked, "Freshman year," followed by another photo from the wedding that said, "Senior year."
Maack married her childhood sweetheart, Benjamin LaManna, on Saturday, reports People.
A year ago, Swift posted a photo of Maack's letter asking her to be her maid of honor and wrote, "YEAH I WILL" on Instagram. It was her first time acting as a maid of honor at a wedding.
Both Swift and Maack wore Reem Acra gowns with embroidered details.
Swift's beau Calvin Harris was not in attendance; the couple celebrate their first anniversary of dating next month.
