Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" video sets Vevo record
Everyone was out for "Bad Blood" this week when Taylor Swift dropped the song's star-packed music video.
After debuting Sunday at the Billboard Music Awards, the clip brought in 20.1 million views in 24 hours on Vevo, setting a new record.
The action-packed video featured cameos from A-list stars like Selena Gomez, Ellen Pompeo, Mariska Hargitay and Kendrick Lamar. In the days leading up to the video's release, Swift stirred up buzz by teasing all those starson her social media accounts.
A release from Vevo notes that "Bad Blood" broke the record previously set in August 2014 by Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda," which earned 19.6 million views in a 24 hour period.
Swift shared the big news on Twitter, thanking fans and all those famous friends that appeared in the video.
Vevo also notes that Swift's music videos (which also include "Blank Space," "You Belong With Me," "Style" and "Shake It Off) have brought in nearly five billion total views on the platform to date.
