Loved ones wait to visit with contestants of "Survivor:Redemption Island." CBS

(CBS) You knew all along it would come to this.

Still following Boston Rob's strategy, the Ometepes engineered a blindside and sent Andrea to join Matt, Michael and Steve on Redemption Island. She never saw it coming, thinking Philip was the target.

But was the move wise? Andrea is a real trouper. She almost beat Boston Rob in the physically challenging immunity race and, while he could not stand, she looked ready to do it all over again.

She could well out-duel the others on Redemption Island and be back for revenge.

Among the exiles on the island, the tie-breaking duel saw chicken farmer Ralph Kiser eliminated from the game and former Marine Mike win a reward.

Since this was the visit-from-family episode - heralded by video messages on Sprint phones delivered to the two camps - Matt's reward was a visit with his mom, who was standing across the way.

Or he could forgo the visit with his mother and allow the Ometepes to visit their loved ones.

Which did he choose? He gave the Ometepesa gift, but will it earn him their good will? The final tribal council on May 15 will tell.
