Steve Jobs biography to launch November 21
(CBS) - Macheads can finally get the inside scoop on Apple's chief operating officer. The official Steve Jobs biography, aptly titled "Steve Jobs: A Biography" is slated for release on November 21.
Originally called "iSteve: The Book of Jobs," the biography was written by historian Walter Isaacson. According to the book's description, the content was "Drawn from three years of exclusive and unprecedented interviews Isaacson has conducted with Jobs as well as extensive interviews with Jobs' family members, key colleagues from Apple and its competitors, Steve Jobs is the definitive portrait of the greatest innovator of his generation."
The book was supposed to come out March 6, 2012, but (yay!) it has been bumped up. In a statement given to the New York Times, director of publicity at Simon & Schuster Tracey Guest said, "The book is now ready." Is there anything more to say?
Simon & Schuster's description of the book has some promising tidbits. "[Steve Jobs] asked for no control over what was written nor even the right to read it before it was published. He put nothing off-limits."
It looks like the biography is already a hit. The Los Angeles Times reported the book is a bestseller on Amazon, "fueled by readers who want to know more about the life of Apple's CEO."
King Steve always comes out on top.
