Stephen Colbert announces new book inspired by "Midnight Confessions"
“Midnight Confessions” is a popular segment on the “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” where the host sits behind a screen and asks the audience to forgive him for his unusual sins.
“When I get on an elevator and someone comes running up to catch it. I always act like I try to hold the door for them. Oh, I’m sorry the button’s not working. I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Colbert confessed during one of the segments.
The book will be published by Simon and Schuster, a division of CBS, and feature Colbert’s favorite sins. It goes on sale on September 5.
