Southern, central Plains under "high tornado threat" for Saturday
The country's mid-section will find itself under the threat of dangerous weather Saturday that could spawn tornadoes and large hail, according to forecasters.
Larry Mowry, KTVT's chief meteorologist, says the central and southern Plains will face a "high tornado threat," with the possibility of hail and strong winds.
The region has experienced severe weather for much of the week. Tornadoes and flooding caused damage in Oklahoma and in Texas. Some Texas areas have seen as much as 4.5 inches of rain in some areas in the past two days, forcing rivers to overflow.
