Smart fridge suggests recipes based on what's inside
(CBS/Reuters) Ever open the fridge and not know what you want to eat?
Well those days may be numbered.
The new smart fridge by South Korea's LG Electronics, gives its own suggestion for a healthy meal based on what's inside.
It also boasts a food management system that maintains a list of the food it is storing and tracks whether it is fresh.
A synced smart phone helps consumers make informed decisions about what they need to pick up at the grocery store and alerts are received when food has reached its expiration date.
The product will cost about 3.6 million won which is $3,314 dollars and will be sold later this year.
