Sherri Shepherd ties the knot

(CBS) Sherri Shepherd was married in Chicago over the weekend.

"The View" co-host wed TV writer Lamar Sally at the city's Fairmont Hotel on Saturday.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elisabeth Hasselbeck was one of Shepherd's six bridesmaids, along with "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Niecy Nash and "Community" actress Yvette Nicole Brown.

Shepherd's 6-year-old son, Jeffrey, walked her down the aisle.

Shepherd and Sally announced their engagement in December. The Style Network is planning to broadcast the wedding as part of a TV special, "Wedding Fabulous: Sherri Shepherd Gets Married," on Sept. 13.

Shepherd isn't the only "View" co-host to tie the knot recently. Joy Behar married Steve Janowitz, her boyfriend of 29 years, on Thursday.
