Sheriff's Office: Evidence of homicide in abandoned pickup
BERNALILLO, N.M. -- Sandoval County authorities say evidence of a homicide was found in a stolen pickup truck abandoned on a ranch in the Algodones area.
Sheriff's deputies responding to a report Tuesday of a suspicious vehicle found blood throughout the gray 2015 Ford F-150 pickup's interior.
Investigators then found evidence that the Sheriff's Office said is "likely associated with death."
The Sheriff's Office also says that the pickup was reported stolen in Albuquerque and reportedly was used in a crime spree in Albuquerque before being abandoned at the ranch.
Albuquerque police did not immediate respond to a request for comment.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the investigation is in its early stages and the office is seeking information about people or crimes associated with the vehicle.
