Search for missing Colo. boy suspended
(CBS/AP) DURANGO, Colo. - Authorities in southwest Colorado have suspended the search for Dylan Redwine, a 13-year-old boy who's been missing for a week. A two-day search of the Vallecito reservoir turned up no sign of Dylan, who's from Colorado Springs but was visiting his father for Thanksgiving break.
Dylan was picked up Nov. 18 by his father, Mark Redwine, at the Durango-La Plata County Airport, his mother, Elaine Redwine, told CBS Denver.
La Plata County sheriff's spokesman Dan Bender said Mark Redwine told investigators that he last saw his son Nov. 19 at about 7:30 a.m. before he left to run errands. He says that when he returned, the boy was gone.
"Dylan wouldn't have left willingly," Elaine Redwine said in an interview. "If there was any way to communicate he would have called."
Bender says investigators are exploring all possibilities including a runaway situation, CBS Denver reports.
Dylan is 5 feet tall, 105 pounds, with blond hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. He was wearing a blue-and-white Duke Blue Devils baseball cap, black Nike T-shirt and black Jordan tennis shoes.
