Seann William Scott's Antics

To many, Sylvester Stallone will always be known as Rocky, Julia Roberts as the "Pretty Woman", Leonardo DiCaprio will forever be "The King Of The World" and to a generation of movie audiences, Seann William Scott may well be Steve Stifler in the "American Pie" film series.

Luckily for fans, Scott and the rest of the gang are back in the weekend's No.1 film.

Unlike the obnoxious Stifler, Scott tells The Early Show co-anchor Julie Chen he was a quiet kid.

He says, "I played sports. I was like voted most friendly in high school. So I think people were quite surprised when I played this character and I went back home and they were confused. They were like, 'Wait, was he like this the whole time?"

In "American Wedding," the East Great Falls High gang reunites after college for the marriage of Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan). But the wedding is far from ordinary, and the rivalry between Stifler and Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) has added fire. They find themselves at war over Michelle's beautiful sister, Cadence (January Jones), who is in town to help her sister as maid of honor.

Scott describes his character as the guy who gets himself into every situation. He says, "He was not even invited to the wedding. He just shows up and starts teaching Jim how to dance, has sex with Jimmy's grandma, does something with some dogs. The guy is all over. He's a little crazy."

After the last "American Pie" movie, Scott said he was not going to come back. But he says after reading the script, he changed his mind.

Scott explains, "The script was one of the funniest scripts I have ever read. I was doing a couple other things and I thought it was an opportunity to make the third one the best movie. Now that I have done some comedy there's so much for me to do with this character, that I thought it was a great opportunity."

But don't expect to see him again if there is an "American Pie 4." Scott says, "I don't think so. They're going try. People loved the movie so much. I feel I did everything I could with this character. I think it ends really well. It's like 'Star Wars' of this age."
