Sean Penn Charged with Battery, Vandalism
Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn has been charged with battery and vandalism, TMZ reports.
The two misdemeanor charges were filed by the Los Angeles city attorney's office and stem from an Oct. 2, 2009, incident in which the actor allegedly approached and kicked a photographer in Brentwood, Calif., breaking his camera. TMZ caught the incident on video.
If convicted, Penn could face up to 18 months in jail.
This isn't the first time Penn has gotten physical with a cameraman. He served 33 days in jail after assaulting a photographer on a film set in 1987, during his marriage to Madonna.
