Sean McDonough
This is Sean McDonough's eighth year of tournament play-by-play for CBS Sports.
McDonough serves as a play-by-play announcer for CBS Sports' college basketball and football coverage, as well as the College World Series. He called play-by-play for CBS Sports' coverage of ice hockey at the 1998 Olympic Winter Games and bobsled/luge at the 1992 and 1994 Olympic Winter Games.
McDonough has called play-by-play for the CBS Network's coverage of golf, the U.S. Open Tennis Championships and the NFL, and was the lead play-by-play announcer for CBS Sports' coverage of Major League Baseball.
A television play-by-play announcer for the Boston Red Sox since 1988, McDonough won the 1989, 1990 and 1992 New England Sports Emmy for Outstanding Play-by-Play.
He provided commentary for ESPN's coverage of Major League Baseball in 1990 and has covered the NHL, college football and basketball and soccer for the cable network as well.
A 1984 cum laude graduate of Syracuse University, McDonough was born May 13, 1962. He lives in Quincy, Mass.
