Sean Lowe, Catherine Giudici on live wedding and keeping romance hot
Lovebirds Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici may not live together in Dallas, but that doesn't mean they don't see each other often.
The "Bachelor" couple, who announced Monday that they will tie the knot on Jan. 26, 2014, say they do a lot to keep the romance hot.
"We go on a lot of date nights," Lowe, 29, said while at The Knot Gala at the New York Public Library on Monday night. "We spend a lot of time together, but we always try to go out of our way to have special on one time. We went to the Texas State Fair last week. It was a lot of fun. We like to spend quality time together like that."
Lowe and his graphic designer fiancee plan to move in together after they exchange vows in a wedding ceremony that will air live on ABC -- not taped as had been done with previous weddings.
"That was the network's decision," Lowe said about the live nuptials. "But we're on board for it because it's never been done in the 'Bachelor' franchise before I think it's cool -- people will feel like they're at the wedding. In previous weddings, the paparazzi has spoiled things in the past. They won't have that opportunity this time, so I think it will be cool."
Giudici, 27, says they're also looking beyond the wedding day: "Something that's really important to us is not only focusing on the wedding date but the marriage. And that's what we're taking hold of, more than the wedding. Just make sure -- brides and grooms -- that you know who you're marrying and that you focus on after the wedding and not just the wedding."
Lowe, an insurance agent, popped the question in Thailand on the season finale of his season of "The Bachelor" this year. "The Bachelor: Sean and Catherine's Wedding" will air live on ABC from 8 to 10 p.m. ET on Jan. 26.
