Screen Star Votes Being Counted
On Monday, The Early Show will reveal who viewers picked to get two coveted roles on "The Young and the Restless."
Two final aspiring actors were on The Early Show Friday for their live "Soap Star Screen Tests" hoping for a role on daytime's No.1 drama, "The Young And The Restless."
To help them with scenes was four-time Emmy nominee Christian LeBlanc, who plays attorney Michael Baldwin on "Y&R."
Performing with Baldwin in the first screen test was Shawn Dow, a third-year theater major from the University of Minnesota, followed by Candice Patton, who just completed her freshman year at Southern Methodist University.
Shawn Dow is 20 and in his third year at The University of Minnesota, where he is majoring in theater. Though he has always been interested in acting, Shawn spent much of high school playing sports. An ankle injury took him off the field and eventually put him on stage.
Candice prefers drama to musical theater, though she did perform in "Fame" while in high school. "I can do it," she said. "But I've always been looking to do film and TV." She spent two weeks last summer at the TVI Actor's Studio in Los Angeles.
In case you missed any of the screen tests this week, you can find them all on the interactive at right. Voting is now closed.
