Scott McCreery gets World Series gig

October is shaping up to be a big month for last season's "American Idol" winner Scott McCreery.

McCreery's first album, "Clear as Day" is due out Tuesday, he turns 18 on Oct. 9 and he will be singing the national anthem for Game 1 of the World Series on Oct. 19

McCreery, whose love of baseball was highlighted during his "American Idol" championship run, calls the opportunity "incredible'' and says singing there will be like putting his "two greatest loves together.''

He says he's looking forward to seeing which teams will be playing; the division championship series are just under way.
