"Saturday Night Live" adds Jon Rudnitsky to cast
Say hello to the newest cast member of "Saturday Night Live."
The long-lived sketch comedy show added comedian Jon Rudnitsky to its cast, reports Deadline. He will be the only new cast member in the show's 41st season, which starts off with a bang with -- you guessed it -- none other than host Miley Cyrus.
Rudnitsky was raised in New Jersey and studied at the University of Southern California's BFA Acting Conservatory. He won the Laugh Factory's Laugh Bowl College Comedy Competition and has a presence on YouTube for parodies of "House of Cards," and "True Detective" and the "Hunger Games." He is currently on tour.
Rudnitsky seemed very excited for his new gig -- he retweeted congratulations from his friends and colleagues. He already has a warm welcome from Pete Davidson, who tweeted his congratulations.
"Thank you sir can't wait to work together!" responded Rudnitsky.
Last season saw Leslie Jones as a new cast member -- Jones was previously a writer on the show.
