Sarah Palin to Speak at Pro-Hunting Convention

Sarah Palin plans to deliver the keynote address to the Safari Club International 2011 Convention, running January 26-29 in Reno, Nevada.

According to its website, "Safari Club International is the Leader in Protecting the Freedom to Hunt and Promoting Wildlife Conservation Worldwide." The convention is home to the "Ultimate Hunter's Market."

Palin is expected to address "her past hunting experiences and how politics affects the current state of hunting and fishing."

The speech, Saturday January 29th, is sold out, according to the group's website. The night's activity also includes an auction and is sponsored by MidwayUSA, a hunting supply company that's website describes as "Just About Everything for Shooting, Reloading, Gunsmithing and Hunting."

Larry the Cable Guy, Pure Prairie League and the Marshall Tucker Band are the other big names performing at the convention. The Safari Club International says there will be no press coverage of the event.

Palin, an avid supporter of gun and hunting rights, has been criticizedin recent days for having used gun-related rhetoric and imagery on the campaign trail in light of Saturday's shootings in Tucson, Arizona. 

Safari Club International tells CBS News press coverage of the event will not be permitted.
