Sandra Bullock in talks to join "Annie" remake
Sandra Bullock is said to be in early talks to join Jamie Foxx and Quvenzhane Wallis in Sony Pictures' remake of "Annie."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar winner would play Miss Hannigan, the mean woman who runs the orphanage where Annie and her friends live. Carol Burnett played the role in the 1982 movie.
THR reports that Bullock was in talks with the studio back in March but ultimately passed on the role at the time. Now, both sides are apparently back at the negotiating table.
Wallis, 9, has been cast as Annie, while Foxx will play Benjamin Stacks, a modern incarnation of Daddy Warbucks.
"Annie" is planned for release during the 2014 holiday season. Will Smith and Jay-Z are among the film's producers.
